Young Pharaoh Brooch
Good quality gently domed silver and enamel circular brooch depicting the profile of a young Pharaoh. Following the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb in 1922 there was an upsurge in interest in all things Egyptian and this little brooch is typical of the resulting Egyptian Revival style.
The young man’s head and neck is shows in silver while his ornate head-dress and the background are picked out in colourful enamelling.
Dating from the mid 1920’s, and with a diameter of just over 2.5 cm.
