Yellow Rose by Faure*
Beautiful old framed enamel on copper with the image of a yellow rose in full flower together with buds and leaves.
From the famed studio workshop set up by Camille Fauré who was born in Perigueux, France in 1872.
Multiple layers of vivid polychrome enamels have been applied on to the convex copper plaque, the colours standing out strongly against a deep red background, giving an image that is almost three dimensional.
Signed Fauré Limoges – France in the lower right-hand corner and still with the original paper label on the back.
Overall size is 25.5 cm by a touch over 21.5 with the image measuring just under 14.5 X 10.5 cm.
