Suzanne Meunier Watercolour*
Original watercolour painting by the French artist Suzanne Meunier (1888-1974).
Better known for her etchings in what’s known as the boudoir style, her work is fairly widely available in that form but an original watercolour such as this is a rare find.
The subject is a pretty, dark haired young girl and she is captured smiling directly at the viewer in what is a striking and colourful image.
Signed by the artist and dated on the back 1930 together with what appear to be pencilled instructions to the framer.
The image measures approximately 44 X 32 cm.
