Pair of Art Nouveau Fairy Vases*
Matching pair of Art Nouveau art metal vases signed by the French artist J. Garnier.
Three-sided and with a different fairy or nymph depicted on each face, shown in a naturalistic setting of water lilies and irises. Tapering upwards into a round neck which houses a removable protective insert. The base of the vase is roughly triangular and stands on slightly splayed feet to give added stability.
Delightful colours of nature – all earthy browns and greens.
Both vases are in lovely condition, date from the early 1900’s and stand approximately 37.5 cm tall.
