Murrle Bennett Silver and Garnet Necklace*
Silver necklace set with garnets and a contrasting central mother-of-pearl disc.
In the style which is sometimes referred to as a ‘swag’, the necklace incorporates a series of chains of different lengths, interspersed by garnets at intervals along the length.
Suspended below on two short length is chain is the mother-of-pearl feature, below which are two extended drops, each of a different length and each set with an oval garnet.
Circa 1910 and marked next to the clasp with a partial MBCo mark and what looks to read 950 silver.
The main necklace chain has a length of 46 cm.
