Item Description
Silver Arts & Crafts brooch attributed to the Scottish metalworker and jeweller Mary Thew (1876-1953).
A circular, openwork design with a wreath of leaves and berries circling most of the circumference, with just a little of the twisted wirework frame visible towards the top.
Set with amethysts and blister pearls which add just the right amount of colour and contrast.
Unmarked but typical of Thew’s work and with a diameter of approximately 3.75 cm.
