Murrle Bennett Enamelled Pendant*
Art Nouveau silver pendant by Murrle bennett & Co., enemalled in shades of blue with green highlights.
Somewhat shield-shaped, with the enamelled areas divided by sweeping lines of silver and an individual looking stylised floral detail.
Suspended below is a little oval enamelled drop.
Impressed with the MBCo maker’s mark on the reverse together with 950 denoting the silver content.
In good condition, commensurate with its age of around 120 years, just showing a little surface scratching to part of the silver at the top of the pendant.
The merest fraction over 5 cm long, including the bale and drop, with the necklace chain measuring 44 cm.
