Murrle Bennett Silver and Enamel Pendant
Item Description
Art Nouveau silver and enamel pendant by Murrle Bennett & Co dating from circa 1900, probably made for the Liberty of London store.
An elegant design with vivid blue and green enamelling and at each side a mirrored pair of stylised leaves on long sweeping stems.
At the foot hangs an instantly recognisable Murrle Bennett enamelled drop.
Marked on the back with the MBCo maker’s mark together with the high silver content of 950.
The pendant, including its bale and drop, is 4.5 cms long, with the silver necklace chain measuring 43 cms in length.
