Silver and Abalone Necklace
Item Description
Arts & Crafts silver pendant necklace set with plaques of colourful abalone.
The main component consists of two large plaques placed one above the other, one circular and the other oval. These are surrounded with a beaded silver border, and are further detailed with three little circular abalone pieces set one each side and another at the base.
An abalone drop is suspended beneath on a pair of short lengths of chain, and the necklace chain itself is connected via two matching side attachments enclosed within a twisted rope pattern border.
An intricate but extremely effective design and very well made.
The main pendant together with its drop measures approximately 6 cm in length and the necklace, when opened out, is around 36 cm long.
