Late Victorian Silver and Citrine Pendant
Pendant crafted in silver dating from the late 1800’s, showing the influence of the Arts & Crafts movement that was current at that tme.
With an elegantly rounded and shaped outline showing fine silverwork, and set in the centre with a faceted citrine framed on both sides by clusters of seed pearls.
The same theme continues in the teardrop shaped drop below, this time with the citrine turned upright and with a little triangular cluster of seed pearls immediately above.
Suspended on two short lengths of chain from the original decorative bale which is marked sterling on the back.
A little over 6.5 cms. in length, including the bale and the drop, with the necklace chain, which has a squared barrel type clasp, measuring 38.5 cms.
