Bracelet by Rhoda Wager
Item Description
Arts & Crafts silver and gold bracelet, unsigned but firmly attributed to Rhoda Wager.
The frame of the bracelet is in silver and the uppermost decorative elements are crafted in gold.
Featuring as a central focal point is an ovoid design of intertwining stems, leaves and flowers, set in the centre with a splendidly colourful black opal surrounded by four little sapphire cabochons.
Two smaller black opals are set on the shoulders with the leafy gold design extending half way around the double silver frame.
The lower half features a zig-zag design in silver, accented with little gold dots and a single gold flower.
The bracelet opens and closes on one side with a good, positve click and is also fitted with a gold safety chain.
Approximtely 18.5 cms. in circumference, with a closed internal diameter of 5.4 cms. and an open diameter of 8 cms.
N.B. The gold detail on the bracelet has not photographed as well as we would have liked and does in fact look much more impressive ‘in the flesh’ than it does in our photos.
