French Art Nouveau Mirror Pendant*
Silver Art Nouveau pendant that swivels open to reveal a mirror concealed within.
Portraying on the face side the profile of a young maiden with her long tresses falling about her shoulders.
She’s shown against the backdrop of a pansy flower which forms the outline of the pendant.
Designed by the Russian born jeweller and medallist Félix Rasumny (1869-1940) who studied his craft in France where he settled to pursue his career. His signature can be seen at bottom left.
A good size at 5.5 cm long, including the bale, and a fraction over 4 cm in width.
There are a few inevitable surface scratches but otherwise in fine condition, opening and closing positively.
The silver necklace chain has a length of 62 cm.
