Stylish and quite large circular brooch from the English Arts & Crafts movement dating from around 1910.
A plaited pattern border sits just inside the outer rim, adjacent to a fine rope line.
In the centre a large carnelian cabochon is mounted with four spray pattern design details spreading outwards. These are interspersed with a detail of subtle enamelling work in green and orange.
No maker's mark as is so often the case, and approximately 5.5 cm in diameter.
