Jugendstil Silver and Chalcedony Necklace
Very nicely made continental silver pendant with high quality silver work surrounding a large and evenly coloured green chalcedony stone.
At the top is a bell shaped feature below which two different and finely detailed flowers are suspended. A silver frame of tiny V’s linked end to end, cleverly soften the overall pear-shaped outline.
Careful thought has even been given to the rather unusual bale which also shows an effective design detail.
Either Austrian or German but with no maker’s mark that we can find.
Length of the silver chain, marked 925, is 50 cm.
