“Buste de Faunesse a la Coiffure de Feuilles et Fruits” – quite some title!
This is a dark green patinated bronze bust set on a square, slightly tapered red marble base and signed in the bronze M. Real del Sarte.
The lady, looking slightly to one side, is bare shouldered with her hair swept back from her forehead on top and left loosely curled at the sides.
It’s an impressive piece and approximately 39 cm high. The base, which has slight nibbles to a couple of the corners, is around 15 cm square.
Every time we’ve displayed this piece it’s always drawn very favourable comment.
