Nouveau Maiden by Carli
French plaster bust of a romantically stylised young maiden and so typically Art Nouveau.
She has a delightfully innocent face and a most impressive hair style.
Her clothing is finished in pleasingly muted shades of olive green and she displays very elegantly on her slightly elongated base.
Signed verso by the artist A. Carli (Auguste Henri Carli, 1868-1930), this bust dates from around 1895-1900.
In good condition, commensurate with age, with a little light crazing to the paint finish here and there.
The overall height is approximately 50 cm.
