Silver and Enamel Bracelet attr. to Smith & Ewen

Item Description

English Arts & Crafts silver bracelet that, athough unmarked, is clearly from the workshops of Smith & Ewen, silversmiths and jewellers who were active in Bimingham’s jewellery quarter between 1894 and 1911.

Comprising six matching enamelled plaques detailed with little silver hearts, linked between smaller hexagonal components showing a finely hammered texture and a four pointed star cut out in their centres.

The rectangular clasp is enamelled in matching shades of blue and green and is finished with a typical Smith & Ewen drop with enamelled detail.

Opening and closing positively and fitted with a safety chain for extra security when wearing.

Approximately 17 cms. in length.
