Art Deco Terracotta Nude
Item Description
Striking Art Deco era terracotta nude by the Italian born artist and sculptor Amedeo Gennarelli (1881-1943).
The young lady is modelled at a slight angle, kneeling with her head back and eyes closed. Her arms are raised above her head and she has a faraway, almost trance-like expression.
Gennarelli was artistically active from the early 1900’s and exhibited in both Naples and Paris. This sculpture dates from some time after 1920.
An eye-catching piece and an impressive size at around 60 cm high. The base measures approximately 36 X 33 cm.
In excellent condition.
