Art Deco Nude by Isoppi*
Art Deco terracotta study of a nude woman seated on the ground with her eyes closed and holding a fan behind her head. She’s a striking looking lady and obviously enjoying the warmth of the sun on her ample body.
Painted in an unusual, almost jade green colour, and signed on the base by the artist D. Isoppi about whom we can find no information.
On close inspection there are one or two small areas where the surface paint has at some stage been spruced up a touch, but overall the condition is very good and it is extremely eye-catching on display.
Almost certainly dating between 1920 and 1930 and measuring around 40 cm in width by 43 cm high.
