WMF Salad Bowl
Art Nouveau silver plated twin handled salad or fruit bowl from WMF.
Circular and widening as it rises, the sides and handles show a semi openwork design of ivy leaves and berries, with the top rim organically shaped in typical Art Nouveau style.
The removeable green glass bowl fits neatly inside and its scalloped edge follows the same shape as the outer rim.
Marked WMF on the underside and in good condition with just a little wear to some areas of the silver plate as might be expected after more than a hundred years.
Width between the extremities of the handles is approximately 33 cm and the diameter across the outside of the bowl, 21 cm.
