Theodor Fahrner Bracelet*
Item Description
Art Deco era two-colour silver gilt bracelet from Fahrner dating from circa 1920.
Comprising seven matching linked components, each with a filigree detail in a shade of rose gold forming the background to a stylised flower with leaves and stems which is gilded in yellow gold.
The flowers and leaves are further accented with tiny marcasites, giving just the right touch of sparkle.
Marked Sterling and Germany on the tongue of the clasp but with no maker’s mark although we are confident that is is an original Fahnner piece. The lady we acquired this bracelet from had carefully retained the tie-on TF seal that was originally attached. A photograph of a similar seal can be found on page 227 of the Theodor Fahrner Jewelry book by Schmundt, Weber & Becker.
The length is 18.5 cms. and it is fitted with a little safety catch for extra security when wearing.
