Art Deco Brooch by Theodor Fahrner
Item Description
A brooch that is unmistakably by Theodor Fahrner, dating from the early 1920’s, just as the Art Deco era was getting under way.
With a geometric outline, this sterling silver brooch comprises a number of staggered horizontal sections, each contoured to give a strong three-dimensional look, and further set with marcasites.
These form the frame of the central feature of a pair of mirrored smoky quartz stones separated by a line of three amazonites.
Clearly marked on the back and with a width of just a touch over 5.5 cm.
