Silver and Swiss Lapis Necklace*
Long silver necklace with a diamond shaped Swiss Lapis pendant and beads set at intervals along the distinctive silver chain.
The strong variegated blue colour is achieved by dying jasper to imitate Lapis Lazuli and the result looks really stunning.
The 82 cm long chain does not have a clasp, simply fitting over the head.
Not unusually there is no maker’s mark, but nevertheless this is a splendid old Arts & Crafts period necklace dating from around 1910.
