Charming little silver and plique-à-jour enamelled winged scarab brooch with a centrally set faceted amethyst stone.
The subtle shades of pink and green contrast very well with the deep colour of the amethyst.
German, probably made in Pforzheim and in the Egyptian revival style, dating from circa 1910-20, possibly a little earlier.
Indistinctly marked on the back and measuring just a touch under 3.5 cm wide.
