Silver and Fire Opal Arts & Crafts Pendant*
Item Description
English Arts & Crafts silver pendant crafted in the form of a wreath of leaves and berries surrounding a splendid and large fire opal.
Suspended on two short lengths of chain from a little matching fire opal central suspender and with another in the drop below, framed in a rope pattern border.
The chainwork is matching and original apart from a slight extention to the length which has been added at some time. This however is either side of the rather unusual clasp and is therefore concealed from the front when worn.
No marks, as is so often the case, but pure Arts & Crafts dating from the early 1900’s.
8.5 cm in length from the top of the suspender to the bottom of the drop, with the extended necklace chain having a total length of 42 cm.
