Silver and Amethyst Ring attr. to Instone*
Arts & Crafts silver ring of cruciform outline set with an oval faceted amethyst.
The claw-set stone is framed on all sides by a leafy carpet which further extends down the shoulders of the ring, culminating in clusters of little berries.
Very nicely made and clearly from the workshop of Bernard Instone but showing no maker’s mark.
Dating from circa 1930 or possibly a little earlier and a U.K. size just below ‘L’.
