Arts & Crafts Silver and Amber Pendant Necklace
Individual and quite distinctive Continental silver pendant necklace featuring strongly coloured natural amber.
Quite possibly French in origin although we are unable to be completely sure as the only mark is for 800 silver.
With somewhat of a negligee necklace look, the large central amber cabochon is framed within a rope-pattern border and suspends on a pair of silver rods two teardrop shaped amber drops of slightly different lengths, each with a silver cap.
Circa 1910 and just over 7 cm long to the bottom of the longer drop, with the remainder of the necklace chain measuring approximately 40 cm.
