Royal Doulton Galleon Vase by Ethel Beard
Baluster shaped Arts & Crafts vase from Royal Doulton in a mottled blue shade with two different scenes of a galleon at sea, one on each side.
The rolling seas together with large white clouds and gulls seen flying in the background set off the sailing ships really well.
Painted by the in-house artist Ethel Beard who worked at Doultons for over forty years, this vase dates from around 1910.
Numbered beneath 8532 C and showing the initials EB. Approximately 20 cm high and 14 cm wide at its widest point. The condition is very good.
