Roaring Twenties Dancing Girl*
Wow – this girl couldn’t look more twenties showgirl if she tried. With her fabulous outfit, totally over-the-top fan of feathers and cool, almost detached expression she looks quite wonderful.
Titled “Portrait of Mme J-G Domergue” it is signed by Jean-Gabriel Domergue so the artist was presumably her husband. The original was painted in 1921 and this print is from a magazine from the same year.
A very evocative picture – you can almost hear the jazz band playing in the background while you look at it.
Approx. 42 high and 31 cm wide overall.
