Portrait of Jesus Christ
Item Description
Polychrome enamel portrait on a convex copper plaque of Jesus Christ with his right arm raised in blessing.
The image is mounted in a gilded and crimson velvet lined Gothic style frame which suits it perfectly.
Parisian, circa 1880 and signed Normand at bottom left, although unfortunately we can find no information on the artist.
Measuring 35 X 18.5 cm overall with the enamelled image at 13 X 8.5 cm.
A ring for wall hanging is affixed to the back.
The velvet, being original, is unsurprisingly a little worn due to age but in our opinion its condition is completely acceptable.
