Pool Copper Charger*
Unusually large patinated copper charger by J & F Pool of Hayle, Cornwall dating from around 1910.
High quality repoussé work from this renowned maker depicting inside the bowl a large writhing seafish surrounded alternately by seashells and other small fishes.
Following each other all around the rim are eight porpoises and the lip of the piece is edged with a rolled-over braided pattern detail.
Unmarked as is quite usual, but typically Pool and we are confident of the attribution.
There is a hook for hanging (see photo ) and the overall diameter is 61 cm.
