Item Description
Looking at this fine animal you can see why panthers were such a favourite subject of the Art Deco animal sculptors. Sleek, speedy and with that edge of danger, they perfectly encompass the artistic style of the times.
This is a very good example in bronze signed by the artist J. Brault and dating from around 1930. Set on a pale brown and white naturalistic, shaped and sloping marble base, this wonderful big cat looks so elegant.
