Rare and delightful Jugendstil silver and green plique à jour brooch designed by Otto Prutscher and made by the firm of Heinrich Levinger.
This is a typical Prutscher design, incorporating an oval mother-of-pearl centre into the spread wing motif, finished with a small pearl drop.
Showing the Levinger mark on the reverse and with a width of approximately 3.5 cm, this very special brooch dates from the early 1900’s.
