Murrle Bennett Silver Pendant*
Item Description
Exquisite little silver pendant necklace from Murrle, Bennett & Co. dating from round 1900 or so.
Very Art Nouveau with its intertwining stems and flowers in relief. In the centre, inside a tiny beaded border, is a blue enamel oval which contrasts beautifully with the silver.
The whole is slightly convex in shape, which gives a more three-dimensional look.
Marked verso with the maker’s mark and the silver content of 950. The chain is marked on the clasp sterling silver.
Pendant around 3.5 cm long and the chain 46 cm.
