Murrle Bennett Gold and Tourmaline Pendant
Art Nouveau pendant necklace by Murrle Bennett & Co. crafted in 15 ct. gold and set with a prominent and rather splendid pink tourmaline cabochon.
Semi openwork in design, with an almost heart-shaped outline and an instantly recognizable look that is extremely elegant.
Fully marked on the back and also engraved with the date 18 Dec 03, presumably to mark a special occasion for a long departed previous owner.
The pendant is suspended on two short lengths of chain from an oval ring which connects to the necklace chain.
Circa early 1900’s. The width is 3.4 cm, length from the ring is 4.5 cm and the 9 ct. gold necklace chain measures 45 cm.
