Necklace in 15 ct. gold made by Murrle Bennett & Co. circa early 1900’s.
Comprising several individual sections, each linked by oval rings, culminating in an elegant oval drop.
The two main central components show decorative pierced design details and the necklace is set with four beautifully coloured black opals.
Marked verso with the MBCo maker’s mark and stamped 15 ct.
Supplied in the fitted retailer’s box in which we acquired it, embossed with the name of Searle & Co. Goldsmiths of 78 & 79 Lombard Street, London.
The length from the top of the four central components, including the drop, is 5 cm. Opened out, the full length is approximately 44 cm.
