Murrle Bennett Gold Pendant with Opals*
Item Description
Art Nouveau pendant in 9 ct. gold made by Murrle Bennett & Co. circa 1900.
Open in style with a circular outline, the upper half detailed with a cluster of leaves which partially cover the three concentric circles.
An upright oval opal is set in the centre with a similar but slightly smaller one in the drop below.
Marked on the reverse with the MBCo maker’s mark and for 9 ct. gold.
The length, including the bale and the drop, is 4 cm. with the necklace chain, which is marked 9 ct. on the bolt ring, measuring 40 cm.
