Sterling silver brooch by the Copenhagen jewellers and silversmiths Georg Jensen & Wendel dating from circa mid 1940’s.
Featuring a stylised chubby bird fluttering its wings as it perches between leaves within a heart-shaped outer frame.
Designed by Arno Malinowski around 1937, this is a brooch that has become much sought after and is now not always easy to find.
Fully marked on the back including the design number 239 and measuring 4.25 cm wide.
