Murrle Bennett Art Nouveau Gold Pendant*
Item Description
Art Nouveau pendant in 15 ct. gold by Murrle Bennett & Co. dating from circa 1900.
A sinuously elegant design with an elongated outline incorporating a pair of long tapering leaves each side of a finely coloured opal, their stems sinuously winding above, below and even partially behind and finishing with a little heart shaped leaf just below the centre.
The pendant is completed with anothe good opal set in gold and forming the drop.
Clearly marked on the back and a compact size at 5.25 cm. long including the oval bale.
The necklace chain is also marked for 15 ct. and incorporates eight little gold balls set at intervals along its length of between 46 and 47 cm.
