Meyle & Mayer Early Art Deco Brooch*
Item Description
Silver and marcasite brooch from Meyle & Mayer of Pforzheim dating from the 1920’s.
Very slightly oval and with a shaped outline enclosing eight openwork flower heads each separated at the edge by a single marcasite.
Additional marcasites decorate the inside of the flowers and form a ring around the centrally set turquoise matrix stone.
Showing on the reverse the dragonfly mark of Meyle and Mayer and measuring just over 3.5 cm wide.
