Item Description
Circular silver wirework brooch from the Scottish Arts & Crafts jewellery designer and maker Mary Thew who was born in 1876.
With a plain outer rim, a twisted pattern inner border and three little stylised rosettes separated by an amethyst cabochon, a blister pearl and a faceted green glass stone that could very easily be mistaken for a peridot.
Bearing the maker’s dotted ‘T’ mark on the reverse and measuring approximately 3.5 cm in diameter.
