Marius Hammer Enamelled Brooch
Item Description
Ornate silver gilt and enamel festoon brooch from Marius Hammer dating from circa 1900-1905.
A complex yet elegant wirework design with vivid green enamelling to the main topmost area, the central cross and the three elongated drops. Further contrasting detail is added with the use of little white enamel dots.
This is a rare find and the condition is very good.
The Marius Hammer maker’s mark can be clearly seen on the back, together with the silver content mark.
Measuring approximately 8.5 cm long and around 4.25 cm wide at its widest point.
