Limoges Gold and Enamel Ring by Clément*
The third and final ring in a small collection of similar pieces we’ve recently acquired.
As with the other two, it is of 18 ct. gold with the oval enamelled portrait of a young woman wearing fine, brightly coloured clothes.
Signed on the reverse by the enamel artist L. Clément, Limoges, and dating from circa 1900-10.
There is a small age-related defect to bottom of the gold frame surrounding the enamel plaque, as can be seen in our photos – hence the reduced price compared to the other two – but it remains entirely secure.
A little larger than the others at a U.K. size ‘R’.
