Item Description
Hallmarked silver brooch designed by Ludwig Knupfer and marked for both Theodor Fahrner and Murrle Bennett & Co.
A large size openwork design with an approximately oval outline and set with a pair of green chalcedony cabochons.
Hallmarked at London for the year 1902 and impressed with the MB&Co mark on the front and both maker’s marks verso, along with 950 for the silver content.
The brooch measures 6.25 cm wide by the merest fraction below 5 cm in height.
