Jugendstil Silver Gilt & Plique-à-Jour Pendant*
Item Description
Jugendstil pendant dating from the very early 1900’s, almost certainly from one of the Pforzheim workshops, of which there were quite a few at that time.
With an elegant and cascading outline the pendant, with its stylised foliate design, is divided into separate little cells that are plique-à-jour enamelled in assorted shades of blue, green, pink and almost white.
Set with two red glass stones and with another in the drop below, contrasting very effectively with the quieter enamelled shades.
Measuring 4.5 cms. long including the ring bale, with the necklace chain having a length of approximately 44 cms.
