With twenty-eight identical linked panels, pastel enamelled in shades of blue, pink, green and yellow, which cover the entire length, this necklace is similar to the seven panel example illustrated on page 143 of Tracy Henriksen’s splendid book ‘Bernard Instone, Designer and Craftsman: The Art of a Jeweller’.
Fitted with a distinctive Arts & Crafts style fastener and dating from circa 1930.
