James Fenton Art Nouveau Pendant
Enamelled silver pendant by James Fenton in a design we’ve not come across before.
With a shape not unlike a stylised seashell, the upper silver edge encloses a smaller oval, the outline of which extends below before curling round on itself.
Enamelled in graduating blackcurrent hues with the central feature in contrasting shades of blue accented with green.
Finished below with a typical Fenton enamelled drop and hallmarked on the back at Birmingham for the year 1908. Also showing a slightly rubbed JF maker’s mark.
The pendant is just a touch over 5 cm long, including the bale and drop, with the necklace chain measuring 46 cm.
