Hervor Tree Feller
Large and impressive Art Deco bronzed spelter figure of a muscular young man about to swing an axe at the remains of a tree.
It must be warm work as he’s wearing just a loincloth, and the concentration on his handsome face is clear to see.
This is a fine sculpture showing excellent detail by the artist Hervor whose name is enscribed in the variegated marble base.
Dating from the late 1920’s or early 30’s and with a height of approximately 57 cm. The base measures 65 X 16 cm.
