Hermann & Speck Plique-à-Jour Brooch
Jugendstil silver and plique-à-jour enamelled brooch made by Karl Hermann (Hermann & Speck) of Pforzheim circa 1900.
With wide, flowing and undulating lines, and a stylised lotus blossom and leaf in the centre.
Offset, to one side only, is set a faceted green glass stone that looks very much like a peridot.
Marked Depose on the reverse and also showing the 900 silver content together with a partial but unmistakable mark for Hermann & Speck.
