Great little terrier dog tobacco jar almost certainly by Johann Maresh but marked somewhat indistinctly on the underside.
A rare find, cast in terracotta and hand painted, this little chap looks a real character.
With a battered looking hat sitting on his head and a short, stubby pipe clenched between his teeth he almost looks human.
His wonderful glass eyes are looking straight ahead and, with hair sprouting in all directions, he has that air of daring you to challenge his opinion.
